COMPANY

Welcome to
Image of Perfection!

Kim Coy is an artist by birth, from drawing to designing to Model. She started her career in high school concentrating on Fine art where she won numerous Young Artist contest which lead to her scholarship to college. In her Art field she focused on Figure drawing, life drawing portraits and the human form which showed extreme detail at Columbia College Chicago.

This is where she perfected her sewing, designing, and creating show stopping design. She won Contemporary Sportswear scholarship From FGI, Fashion Group Inc, in 2002 that displayed her creativity and eye for detail. She Graduated in 2003 From Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, BFA. She realized that it was difficult to jump into the Fashion industry so she went back to school in 2004 to obtain her Masters in Business Administration, MBA from University of Phoenix, ground in Phoenix, AZ. Her Master's taught her the ins and outs on what it takes to start up and maintain a healthy business.

When she graduated in 2006 she moved back to IL and finally jumped into the Fashion industry as a design and Production assistant at a local business, Sansappelle, on Oak Street. Where she was able to display all her skills...head patternmaker, assistant designer as well as head designer on special projects, production assistant where she help keep the client clothing and inventory in order, as well as assistant Owner in Marketing/management decisions. With all this experience, it opened Kimberly to strive for her own business, Image of Perfection Designs, especially when the Sansappelle folded in 2008. Even though it has been a struggle and life lesson she is still striving to get her store front, online market as well as designs in stores. However her designs are so intricate that she prefers to make one-of-a-kind so her designs won’t lack that Perfect touch.

On her down time, Kim teaches college Fashion courses like Computerized Apparel design, Couture Techniques, Fashion Designs I, II, III, & IIII, Fashion Illustrations, and Menswear. Teaching has gained her respect as a designer and struggling entrepreneur. Now she is known as a hardworking, cut throat, strict but laid back, fun, educated, respected young fashion designer who you will be see/hearing much more from.

Her fashion Business is her main focus, Image of Perfection Designs, centers on tailored made outerwear which she is becoming known for her amazing coat designs but she also shines with her business wear for women and men coming soon. She has been told that clients are dying from her to launch a Bridal gown/tux line so stay tuned. You never know what she will come up with next, definitely a jack of all trade in the Image of Perfection.

SEASONS

Bridal

Perfectly Charming:
Not every Bride dreams of the huge Cinderella dress. My line is more for the non-traditional bride; maybe a second marriage or more of a rebellious bride who still wants to stand out but of perfect image of their own. Still with finer silks so that her day is still one to remember but maybe a pants suit, or made of denim, detachable train or tuxedo inspired gown to give more of an edgy look to any bride’s wardrobe. Take your pick to enhance to your own Image of Perfection.

Spring

Spring is a time to have flowing floral or pastels to show the rebirth. Why not recreate your wardrobe with new silk matka pants, shorts, or shirt; A beautifully comfortable wrap dress, throw me on blouse with a new light weight jacket. Most pieces are inter changeable with other garments within the collection so you can build your wardrobe by starting with key pieces and building as the season continues. The best thing is you can easily transition into summer.

Fall

Fall is perfect for layering what better way than to get one of Image of Perfection’s Signature…the Perfect Jacket… designed to a T to set off any look and complete that Perfect Image. Most jackets are wool or denim for comfort. *little secret get them in denim/cotton with no lining and you can wear them from transitioning seasons and use them to layer under and overcoat* just get the overcoat a size larger

Menswear

Coming Soon…Varsity jackets, peacoats, trench coats and more.
